Your Value Begins with God:
“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies.” -Proverbs 31:10 NKJV

Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for bringing me to this moment. Before I begin this study, quiet the noise within my heart. Help me lay down every expectation, every comparison, and every lie that tells me I am not enough. Open my eyes to see Your truth and soften my heart to receive it. Teach me to value what You value and to find my identity no in what I accomplish, but in who I am because of Jesus. As I journey through Proverbs 31 over the next 30 days, help me grow in wisdom, humility, compassion and faithfulness. May these pages draw me closer to You, and may Your Word transform me from the inside out.

Today’s Scripture:
“Who can find a virtuous woman? For her worth is far above rubies.” Proverbs 31:10 NKJV

A Moment to Be Still:
Before you read any further, relax, pause for a moment.

Take a deep slow breath.

Release the pressure to perform.

Release the need to compare yourself to other women.

Release the feeling that you have to “measure up.”

Today, God simply invites you to sit with Him.

You are not here to earn His love.

You already have it.

Understanding the Passage:
Proverbs 31 closes the book of Proverbs with a beautiful acrostic poem. In the original Hebrew, each verse begins with the next letter of the Hebrew alphabet, reminding readers that God’s wisdom touches every part of life-from beginning to end.

Many people have viewed this chapter as an impossible checklist for women. But when read in its full context, it paints something much richer. Rather than describing a flawless woman, it offers a portrait of wisdom lived out through everyday faithfulness.

The woman in Proverbs 31 is not praised because she never struggles or never grows weary. She is honored because her life reflects a heart that belongs to God.

Let’s Dig Deeper:
The word translated “Virtuous” is the Hebrew word chayil (khah-yil).
It carries meanings such as:
-stregnth
-courage
-valor
-noble character
-moral excellence
-capability

Throughout the Old Testament, this same work often describes mighty warriors and people of remarkable courage.

That means Proverbs 31 isn’t merely describing a gentle woman-it is describing a courageous one.

God’s vision of biblical womanhood includes strength, resilience, wisdom, and steadfast faith.

What This Teaches Me About God
God does not measure worth the way the world does (Amen).

While the world often values appearance, success, popularity or achievement, God looks first at the heart. He sees what others overlook. He treasures quiet faithfulness. He delights in humility. His love is never earned-it is freely given.

Today’s verse reminds us that our Creator sees immeasureable value in a life surrendered to Him.

What This Teaches Me About Me
My value does not begin with:
-My appearance
-My productivitiy
-My income
-My relationship status
-My ability to keep a perfect home
-My parenting
-My past mistakes
-Other people’s opinions

My worth begins with God who created me in His image and redeemed me through Christ (READ IT AGAIN)!

Because of Jesus, I am already deeply loved.

Everything else flows from that truth.

Grace Note:
The Proverbs 31 woman is not someone you have to become before God loves you.
She is a picture of the beautiful work God is doing in every woman who walks faithfully with Him.
Growth takes time. Grace walks with you every step of the way.

Heart Check:
Take a few moments to prayerfully consider each of these questions:
1. Where have I been looking for my value?
2. What voices have shaped the way I see myself?
3. Do I believe God’s definition of my worth more than the world’s?
4.. What would change if I truly believed I was already loved by God?

Faith in Action:
Today, choose one Scripture that reminds you of your identity in Christ.
Write it on a sticky note, in your planner, or on your bathroom mirror. Every time you see it, thank God that your identity is secure in Him.

May you leave today remembering that your worth has never depended on how much you accomplish or how perfectly you perform. May you walk with the quiet confidence of a daughter who is deeply loved by her Heavenly Father. May His truth silence every voice of comparison, His grace strengthen your heart, and His presence remind you that you are never alone. Today, may you be clothed not in perfection, but in the unfailing love of Christ

This morning, our homeschool lessons were interrupted by little feet running through the kitchen and lots of laughter. It reminded me that faithfulness often looks less like perfection and more like choosing joy in the middle of the mess. Today, I am so thankful for crayons on the table, tiny voices asking big questions, and the grace God gives us for ordinary moments.
